Who's ready for Summer already!!

I just found this picture of Alisa and I'm excited for summer! Gelato, cute wife, and no hurt tendons, it's bound to be a good one!

Casey run fast

So, Casey ran a half marathon last weekend in Moab. I was at the finish line waiting to get a picture of him. Unfortunately, I didn't take into account his speed and the shutter lag. Because of these two factors, this is the shot I got. We tweaked the photo to show where he would have been.

Here's a picture of him once he had slowed down.

Me Too!

I'm feeling a bit left out. I can take pictures too you know. Here is one I have been working on for weeks. Yeah, I know I'm pretty good.

Love Photoshop

I've been trying to figure out some new stuff in photoshop lately and just thought I would show some of my new affects. Here is a pic of my brother Corey at Beaver Mt. that I made all the adjustments to. There are more but here is the start.

Normal

one of my favorites

Nice look

Polaroid Transfer, time to throw away your daylab

Vintage

Kind of cool haze and color

More normal color with glow

Kind of a dual tone (ish)

I'll post more later.

More from Mexico

So here is the big climb that we did in Mexico. I have had a few requests for more images from this, but it was 2100' to the top. The big climb that we did was called Time Wave Zero and followed the left horizon. The canyon on the right is called Virgin Canyon.

El Potrero Chico

Just got back from Mexico with Jason. It was super sweet! Here are a few of the highlights from the trip. I didn't take tons of photos because it was just him and me most of the time so we had to belay but oh well.
Not a 12a. We thought it was and found out later that it was 12c. We were worried for a minute that we had turned way week all the sudden. So that made us feel better. That's right, right out of the tent door of our camp.
This is us on top of the route Time Wave Zero. This was a 21 pitch 12a, well there was only one 12a pitch on pitch 20 and the rest was 5.10 with the occasional 5.11. It was rad to do something this big this fast.
Our feet hurt the next day but Jason's feel were tweaked out, yes that is a triple blister, I didn't know they could do that on top of each other.
Ron Rob Ramboni sending big on Surfa Rosa (13a), We tried it a bit on the last day of our trip. Look how rad those holds are!! This was the best route we got on in our week for sure.

This is rad

I found this from a few months ago and thought it was rad.

OK, I've got a one track mind

no! not sex! So we just got back from Red Rocks. In case you are wondering we rocked it. We were totally sick but it was still rad. Also, it was awesome to eat at the best Thia food in the US, definitely the highlight.

This route is super rad, and not too hard.

Yes, also a most premium 13a, even though you have to perch and lock off.

Yeah, I'm not good at perching or locking off, but I touched it.

OK, so what do you see? It's definitively a rabbit chasing a bird.

Horray for Ouray

Here are some pics from our 5th annual trip to Ouray over the long New Year's weekend. It was a great trip of soaking at the hot springs, speed scrabble (sounds pretty geeky but it was fun), skiing, ice climbing, freezing temperatures, fireworks, being a bunch of nerds with MacBooks, and of course no trip would be complete without something going wrong and some kind of drama. This year was a car accident. Good thing no one was hurt though.
Good Times. . . .
A portion of the ice park

Chris showing his mad skills

An intense moment with Jared

Probably the only picture of Casey ice climbing. Poor Casey, always taking the superb photos but never being in any.

These two photos are of me on my favorite route. Super long but easy. I love ice climbing because you feel like such a bad ass when you are doing it even if it's not that hard.

I love my big puffy down coat (and of course Casey too!) I think I have on six layers in this picture. It was the coldest trip we have had so far.

Silverton

Steep shoots, -4 deg F, and hiking at 13,300'. It was a great day of freezing and hiking and skiing. Tomorrow is going to be a sweet day of ice, but tonight we are rocking it big time, or I mean, I can barley move.

First Ice climb of the Year

Check it out, Scott still ice climbs! This is us on the middle ledge on the great white. A few days latter me and my bro Corey went and did it again. That is what the images bellow are.

This is the last 10' of the route. Not bad..... the part right bellow this is sometimes a verticle free hanging curin of ice at the top of the 800' climb. It is really pretty, and not really hard but just fun. The best part of the whole thing was the desent. We slid down the whole route in the gully just west of the climb. It makes the whole route!
