4th Street Triathlon

This past weekend we did the 4th Street Triathlon with the Hosenfeld family!  It was super fun!
Everyone in the family that didn't do the tri did the 5k (even baby Ethan).  It made it so much more fun to have everyone participate.  We were sponsored by the Chateau Apres Lodge in Park City.  Yeah, you have to be really fast and tough to be sponsored.

St. George this weekend

Tyson & Tahnee's wedding

Hey all! Just finished a wedding last night. It was a fun night, and everything was very nice. Sorry about taking all the photos of Aubs. It was just cracking my up how she was smiling for the camera and closing her eyes. I love messing with kids.

In Remembrance

When I heard yesterday that the Amber Alert for Hser Nay Moo was called off my stomach dropped.  We volunteered Monday night to help find her and I was so hopeful for a different, happier ending.  This really hit home for us because she lived just across the street.  We've just had to look out our window to see the whole thing unravel.  I went across the street tonight to pay my respects.  There was a letter posted from her teacher that made me cry when I read it.  She is the same age as the kids I teach.  I just don't understand how someone could do this.  It has been a sad day, but I know she is with her Heavenly Father.  I pray that her family will find peace.

Casey run fast

So, Casey ran a half marathon last weekend in Moab. I was at the finish line waiting to get a picture of him. Unfortunately, I didn't take into account his speed and the shutter lag. Because of these two factors, this is the shot I got. We tweaked the photo to show where he would have been.

More from Mexico

So here is the big climb that we did in Mexico. I have had a few requests for more images from this, but it was 2100' to the top. The big climb that we did was called Time Wave Zero and followed the left horizon. The canyon on the right is called Virgin Canyon.

We had a fun Hosenfeld ski day on Saturday at Park City.

It has been such a beautiful winter, that I am actually enjoying the season.

Message from Mexico

El Potrero Chico

Just got back from Mexico with Jason. It was super sweet! Here are a few of the highlights from the trip. I didn't take tons of photos because it was just him and me most of the time so we had to belay but oh well.
Not a 12a. We thought it was and found out later that it was 12c. We were worried for a minute that we had turned way week all the sudden. So that made us feel better.That's right, right out of the tent door of our camp.
This is us on top of the route Time Wave Zero. This was a 21 pitch 12a, well there was only one 12a pitch on pitch 20 and the rest was 5.10 with the occasional 5.11. It was rad to do something this big this fast.
Our feet hurt the next day but Jason's feel were tweaked out, yes that is a triple blister, I didn't know they could do that on top of each other.
Ron Rob Ramboni sending big on Surfa Rosa (13a), We tried it a bit on the last day of our trip. Look how rad those holds are!! This was the best route we got on in our week for sure.
