Casey and I had a fantastic trip to NY with my family. We hit up the Big Apple and then went upstate to where my dad grew up.
I love vacations. . .
my dad sitting on the porch outside the house he grew up in
It was fun to see him at his old stomping grounds.
Hatches has some major competition with their hot chocolate. We went to Max Brenner and just about died of rich chocolate overload. If we had this place in Utah I would be spending all my money there and I would be about 75 pounds heavier.
Thanks mom and dad for taking us, we loved it. Let's start planning the next trip!

What town in upstate NY? My husband is from there. Next time we go up to visit, I'm making him take me to that Watkin's Glen, so beautiful!
Ohhhhhh, that chocolate was SO amazing!!! Great pictures!
Along with Watkins Glen, we went to Searsburg, Corning, Palmayra Rochester, and some little villages outside of Rochester
The villages outside of Rochester were Fairport and Pittsford, The Erie Canal runs through both towns.
Alisa, your idea to revisit NY was a good one---glad you both enjoyed it.
You can't beat back East for fall colors. Gorgeous! Your hubby Casey takes amazing photos. I love those! Sounds like you had an fabulous time. After talking to Brittany, we thought we should all get together on November 22 during the day, if you are available. I will be up in SL.

Looks like you guys had a great time and the pictures are amazing. I'm really jealous of that chocolate especially since the claim that it's better than hatches.
I really wish we could have gone. Casey's pictures are amazing.
