After a day of hearing bad news from more than one place, I felt very sad about all the bad things happening out there in the world. Then tonight as I held Amelia and rocked her to sleep I felt incredibly grateful.
I'm grateful for a healthy family. I am grateful my little girl isn't buried under a pile of rubble and debris at a school in Haiti, or have one of the many diseases that are around and plenty of other people have. But rather she is adorable and letting me cuddle her in my arms.
I'm grateful that I have an amazing wife. She really is amazing! She is so fun and there is nobody who I would rather be with. She understands me, she is caring and gentle and does sooo much for us. She brings so much joy into my world and is an amazing mother. Also she does many things that make my life easier. I would be totally lost without her.
I'm grateful for a job where I work with amazing people.
A wonderful home that we are comfortable in.
And all the little things we take for granted that make life more comfortable and fun.
Sorry that was a little mushy, but I just wanted to say that things are hard for many people, and we are incredibly lucky to be where we are at.

Life is amazing. We have so much. But life is nothing without those we love.
Way to go, Casey! Yes, I too have so much to be grateful for. I am very grateful.
so true. we have so much to be grateful for... I almost feel guilty.
I hear ya! We are so blessed! And don't be sorry. Mushy is good once in a while. :)
Well said - it's so easy to take those things for granted but we really are so fortunate.
And being mushy is cool.
Loved your "mushy" blog. Yes, we all have so much to be thankful for. Nicely put and appreciated
